Database or report development, business or data analysis, project management or research related position.

Summary of the Advantages Offered

I use my experience from all the database application development fields to build effective bridges between the users needs and the development capabilities, and devise solutions so that the outcome adheres to the budget and schedule, has good quality and usability and increases user productivity.

As an analyst, developer and project manager, I am very good at workflow, information flow and business process identification and analysis, documentation and relevant application and solution development. I approach project implementation from the users needs, goals and milestone structure perspective, identifying the objectives and scope, cost-effective development steps, resource needs and other relevant variables.

Experience

09/11-10/11  Analyst / Developer, self-funded project. Updated MS Access based SalesGetter CRM sales planning and management application prototype that I had developed in the past. The prototype contains sales process management and planning tools that enable to assess performance related aspects, to determine the accounts that each salesperson has been working on, the results that were generated and aspects that can be improved. Production environment application can be built using any relational database software.

01/09-08/11   Analyst / Developer / Project Manager, self-funded project. Developed a creative thinking skills management method, CreativityModel Method, and made it available as an open source project through Creative Commons license.

  • Developed a scalable and programmable creative thinking skills management method that addresses goal oriented business creativity and self-expressive artistic creativity usage, so that both types of creative thinking skills can be combined as necessary. Further, intelligently behaving application functionality can be created with less resources than artificial intelligence engineering and expert systems require.
  • Documented creative thinking processes from creativity usage perspective. Used an approach that is similar to documenting subject matters and information flow (workflow) in IT business analysis cases for complex applications. For project specific rules used US patent application filing guidelines.
  • Developed a website that functions as creativity management industry resource site and helps to put CreativityModel Method into context through comparisons.

  • Developed Issue Tracking Application for Brown Brothers Harriman Billing Department. The Application helps to manage sub-custodian banks payment discrepancy solving issues.
  • Developed Trade Repairs Data Processing Application for Brown Brothers Harriman Billing Department. The Application keeps track of all the trade repairs billing data and generates on demand relevant Excel workbooks, using automation. Examples of Work

Below are examples of my work as a business analyst and database application, report and report center developer. All this information is on this website, so, you can explore it safely.

  • The Previous Work Experience section contains quite a bit of descriptive information on applications, functionality and user interfaces that I have put together as database application architecture and navigation structure developer, table structure and other objects developer and programmer, and user interface designer and usability engineer.
  • Additionally, below are examples of my work as a business analyst.
  • The first two business analysis examples represent small-to-medium size applications with relatively complex functionality.
  • The third, fourth and fifth example, the custom developed blogging website front end user-facing functionality specifications, and the back end content management system specifications, and the sales CRM application prototype, took a lot of business analysis work to put together. These are all big and complex projects by any company's standards.
  • The sixth example is an unusual project that also helped to develop further my business analysis and documentation skills. There are probably very few technical business analysts who have worked on a comparable project.
  • Putting together documentation that both the application user group representatives can understand and the developers can use is not easy. Big projects with very large number of interrelated details get exponentially difficult to document. I am one of the people who can actually do this type of work well. So, this is one of the skill sets that I offer to my employer.
  • Additional comment: I have worked in a "waterfall" manner and also in an agile manner. I would say that having sufficiently comprehensive specifications and other forms of documentation can be very helpful for most IT projects. However, the documentation and the project management process should be kept flexible enough, so that modifications can be made as needed.
  • 1) UsersRequirementsStatement_2004_01.pdf is from working with a group of people at Fleet Bank in 2004. I took about 1 month of work and meetings with both regular users and executives to put together this rather complex trainer, room and equipment scheduling application specifications.
  • 2) PD_Search_Functionality_Description.pdf is a set of specifications for custom built search functionality development. The developers were overseas. Working with the developers this way is more difficult than is working with developers with whom you can personally interact. I have worked with both onshore and offshore developers and that makes my background more valuable to my employer.
  • 3) 2010_CMM_V01_Blogging_Site_Development_V29.pdf describes custom developed blogging website functionality front end specifications and requirements.
  • 4) 2010_CMM_V01_Blogging_Site_Dev_CMS_V54.pdf describes custom developed blogging website content management system specifications and requirements.
  • 5) Putting together SalesGetter CRM sales CRM application prototype, descriptions and user interface mockups required extensive business analysis.
  • 6) While several of the above examples represent big projects, in my own opinion, the biggest and most complex project that I have worked on so far is CreativityModel Method development. Starting from scratch, without any precedent to go by, I was able to put together a scalable and programmable creative thinking skills management method that addresses goal oriented business creativity and self-expressive artistic creativity usage, so that both types of creative thinking skills can be combined as necessary.
  • CreativityModel Method can also be used for building intelligently behaving computer application functionality, so that the results can be created with less resources than artificial intelligence engineering and expert systems require.
